What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website can ask your browser to store. They are often used to remember settings, keep a site secure, measure usage or show advertising. Similar technologies, such as localStorage, work in a comparable way.

Our current configuration

• Non-essential cookies: none intentionally used. ToolQuarter does not intentionally use analytics cookies, advertising cookies or personalization cookies.
• Essential security cookies: possible, set by Cloudflare when required (see below).

Cloudflare Web Analytics

ToolQuarter uses Cloudflare Web Analytics for aggregate usage and performance measurement. Cloudflare states that Web Analytics does not use cookies or localStorage for its analytics. For this reason we do not show a cookie consent banner for it. More information: Cloudflare Web Analytics.

Essential security cookies

ToolQuarter uses Cloudflare to deliver and protect the site. In certain situations Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security or operational cookies. For example, Cloudflare may set a cookie named cf_clearance after a visitor completes a Cloudflare security challenge. These cookies exist to operate and protect the service; they are not analytics or advertising cookies. You will usually only encounter them if Cloudflare presents a security check.

Language preference

The language of the site is part of the web address (for example /en/, /es/ or /ar/), so we do not need a language-preference cookie.

Managing cookies

Most browsers let you view, block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking essential security cookies may stop some security checks from completing.

If this changes

If we introduce Google Analytics, advertising (including Google AdSense), personalized advertising or other non-essential tracking in the future, we will update this Cookie Policy and the Privacy Policy, and add consent controls where required, before those technologies are activated.
