Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how ToolQuarter (“we”, “us”), the public-facing name of the website and service at toolquarter.com, handles information when you use the site. ToolQuarter is designed with privacy in mind, and we have tried to keep this policy plain and specific.

Tool inputs

ToolQuarter's current tools are designed to process the values you enter locally in your browser unless a tool clearly states otherwise. This includes, for example, dates entered in the Age Calculator, passwords generated by the Password Generator, text typed into the Word Counter, numbers entered in calculators and converters, and grades. We do not intentionally collect these values, store them on our servers, or send them to analytics. If we ever add a tool that works differently, we will say so clearly on that tool.

Local browser processing

Because the tools run in your browser, the values you enter stay on your device while you use the page. Your browser, browser extensions or device may keep their own records (such as history or the clipboard); those are outside our control.

When you contact us

If you email support@toolquarter.com, we receive the information you include in your message, such as your email address, your name if you give one, the content of your message and any attachments you send. Messages sent to this address are forwarded to ToolQuarter's mailbox provider using Cloudflare Email Routing. We use this information to read and answer your message, follow up, keep appropriate records and prevent abuse. Please do not send passwords or other sensitive information.

Technical and network information

Whenever you visit any website, your browser sends a request that includes normal technical information, such as your IP address, the page requested, browser and device type, and the time of the request. Our infrastructure provider, Cloudflare, necessarily processes this information in order to deliver and protect the site. This is a normal part of how websites work.

Cloudflare Web Analytics

ToolQuarter uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how the site is used and how well it performs, for example which pages are visited and how quickly they load. Cloudflare describes Web Analytics as privacy-first: it uses browser performance APIs, does not use cookies or localStorage for Web Analytics, does not fingerprint visitors for analytics, and does not collect or use visitors' personal data or track individuals across sites. We do not currently use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager for analytics, Meta Pixel, advertising networks or advertising trackers.

Cloudflare infrastructure and security

ToolQuarter uses Cloudflare for DNS, hosting and static delivery, content delivery network services, HTTPS/TLS, security, Web Analytics and Email Routing. These services necessarily process network and request information, including IP addresses, so that the site can be delivered and protected. Cloudflare's handling of that information is described in the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

Cookies and similar technologies

We do not intentionally use analytics, advertising or personalization cookies. Cloudflare may set essential security cookies in certain situations. See our Cookie Policy for details.

Service providers

The service providers described above (Cloudflare, and the mailbox provider that receives forwarded support emails) help us operate ToolQuarter. We do not currently use advertising networks. If we introduce advertising or additional analytics technologies in the future, we will update the relevant disclosures and consent mechanisms where required before activation.

Retention

Support correspondence may be kept for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, follow up, maintain appropriate records, prevent abuse and comply with legal obligations. Technical and analytics data processed by Cloudflare is retained according to Cloudflare's own policies and settings.

Security

The site is delivered over HTTPS, and we rely on reasonable technical measures, including those provided by Cloudflare, to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International processing

ToolQuarter is available worldwide, and Cloudflare operates a global network. Information may therefore be processed in countries other than the one where you live.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, applicable privacy law may give you rights relating to personal information, such as requesting access, correction, deletion, or information about processing. To ask about any of these, email support@toolquarter.com. We will consider your request in line with applicable law.

Children

ToolQuarter is a general-audience utility service and is not specifically directed at children. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site changes. The date at the bottom of the page shows when it was last updated. If we make significant changes, we will make them visible on this page.
