Frequently Asked Questions
What happens if my weights don’t add up to 100%?
The tool warns you and still computes your "grade so far" by normalizing to the weight you’ve entered so far — useful mid-semester before all assignments are graded.
What does "impossible" mean for the final exam score?
It means the score needed on the final exam to reach your desired grade is over 100%, which isn’t achievable. You would need to reconsider your target grade.
Can max score be something other than 100?
Yes — enter the actual maximum points for each item (e.g. a score of 42 out of 50) and the tool converts it to a percentage automatically.
